Science Team
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year and this year I will be teaching Physical Science and Biology. This will be my fourteenth year teaching for TSMA, and I previously taught 7th grade science at MAT along with 5th and 6th grade science at South McKeel Academy. Before teaching at TSMA, I taught 4th grade in Polk County for 8 years. In total, I have been teaching for 22 years and am looking forward to this year!
Along with teaching, I am the head coach for the girls' golf team. My family is also part of the McKeel family, as my wife, Chantel, is the Art teacher at McKeel Academy Central, and my daughter, Samantha, graduated from MAT in 2024. I am originally from Illinois, and I received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, going to the beach, and watching sports. I am so very excited to get the upcoming year started!
