Welcome to Seventh Grade Science!! This is my eighteenth year in education, and I have previously taught 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades in Polk County Schools. I have also served as a reading interventionist and dean of students. I received my Bachelor's degree in elementary education from Nova Southeastern University and my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. I am also certified in Science 6-12 and PE!
My family is the greatest part of my life and is also part of the McKeel family. My daughter, Madeline, graduated from MAT in 2023 and my son,Brayden, is currently in 7th grade here. I have two additional children, Jeremy and Brooklynn, who have graduated college and are living and working in Lakeland. I am originally from Syracuse, NY and very happy to be away from the snow, however I do miss the beautiful autumns up North. In my spare time, I enjoy being a mom and spending time with my children, love to read, going to the beach, and am an avid sports fan.
