An email will be sent out in September with information on when the Google form will open for Applications.  Art Club is open for 7-12th graders.  Students will meet every other week, high school one week, middle school the next week.  Dues are $20 and include a McKeel Art spirit shirt and a small supply fee.  I will accept 25 middle school and 25 high school students.  This club fills up very quickly, so make sure to fill out the form as soon as it opens.

Are you interested in learning programming? Come and join Coding Club! This club is open to all high school students in grades 9 - 12, and no prior coding experience is necessary. Throughout the year, we will explore different types of coding, from app development to web development to competitive coding!

The McKeel Drama Club provides an opportunity for students to participate in the production of a theatrical stage play. Roles in the Drama Club can include acting on stage, set design and building, backstage and technical crew, promotion and media design, or writing and directing. The goal of the Drama Club is to create an inclusive environment for creative expression through the performing arts.

Meeting Times

Club meetings and rehearsals are usually Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 2:30 - 4:00. Performance dates are determined per semester, with evening performances starting at 7:00pm.

How To Join

The McKeel Drama Club is open to all students. The Drama Club produces one play each semester. Open auditions are held at the beginning of the semester, usually mid-August and mid-January. Student performers are selected by audition. Backstage and tech crew are selected from club members as needed closer to the date of the performances.

The McKeel Fencing Club is recreational club for students interested in learning the sport of fencing. At club meetings we will practice the fundaments of Olympic-style, competitive fencing; including footwork, bladework, competition rules and scoring.

Fencing Club has open registration for students grades 9 -12 starting in September. Middle school students that participated in the Fencing Summer Camp are also welcome to participate during the school year. Registration forms can be picked up from Mr. Wasemann (for grades 9-12) or Mr. Ransom (for grades 7 & 8)

We are a competitive fishing team that competes against other Junior and High School teams throughout the state of Florida.   Tournaments take place across the state of Florida and in Southern Georgia.

The mission of FBLA is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs at Business-related competitive events at Districts and the FBLA State Leadership Conference. 

McKeel Academy's FBLA Club also enjoys hosting campus-community service projects like Bus Driver Appreciation Goodie Bags, Veterans Day Goodie Bags, the Cafeteria and Janitorial Workers Appreciation Breakfast, and Teacher Appreciation gifts. You might see FBLA decorating a spooky car for the Trunk-or-Treat event sponsored by NHS. 

We welcome business sponsors and families to donate supplies and gift cards for our community service projects along with snack donations for our FBLA Meetings. 

FBLA annual Membership dues are $35 which includes an FBLA Club t-shirt, along with FBLA District, State & National Dues.  Families can pay FBLA dues on the MOO. For more information about the FBLA Organization visit the Florida FBLA Home Page.

The National Spanish Honor Society is Sponsored by The American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portugues (AATSP) which is an organization established in the early 20s century in USA. NSHS is a program derived into helping students with the Spanish language and culture while helping their community. We have aided kids from Central/South America and the Caribbean and Collected clothes/toiletries to homeless within our city limits.

Requirements:

• Two years of Spanish Class. Do not have to continue in Spanish class if the two years at met.
• 3.00 weighted GPA
