Welcome to Seventh Grade!! This will be my twelfth year teaching for TSMA and I previously taught 5th and 6th grade science at South McKeel Academy and before that I taught 4th grade in Polk County for 8 years. In total, I have been teaching 20 years and am looking forward to this year!
Along with teaching 7th grade science, I am the head coach for the girls golf team. The past season I was able to join the staff on the baseball team as an assistant coach and I look forward to continuing in that capacity again this year. My family is also part of the McKeel family, as my wife, Chantel is the Art teacher at McKeel Academy Central and my daughter, Samantha, will be a 12th grader at MAT. I am originally from Illinois and I received a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, going to the beach, and watching sports. I am so very excited to get to know each and every one of my students and guide them to success during their first year at MAT.
