Welcome to 8th grade science!
This will be my second year teaching at McKeel Academy. I came from Pasco county, where I have a background with 6th/8th grade science, environmental science, and Biology. I have graduated from PHCC, have certifications from PHSC, and have my bachelor's in biology and education from the University of South Florida. My other ventures in science include being a certified medic for the Florida National Guard, EMT certification, zoology volunteer with a variety of animals, and zoo education camp counselor.
I am a local to the area, growing up near the county line of Zephyrhills and Lakeland. I graduated at ZHS before being recruited into the Marines near the Lakeland Square Mall. I served as a radio operator in California before returning to Florida. Years later I served in the Florida National Guard in Lakeland as a medic, where I worked with the community for several hurricane relief efforts. I currently reside in Lakeland with my wonderful wife and my playful hound mix.
I am passionate about using my prior experience to pass onto your students to help them exceed in not only science and education, but in life as well. I look forward to teaching you all this year!
