Go Wildcats!!! Hi, my name is Mr. Terry Stanley and this is my 28th year of teaching! I am married to my beautiful wife, Tammy Stanley and have two beautiful children, Luke and Laurel. Luke just graduated and will be attending Southeastern University this fall and Laurel is now a Junior here at MAT. Before joining the McKeel team I served six years in the United States Air Force. After completing my service time and graduating from Southeastern University with a BA in Elementary Education I spent nine years at Lime Street Elementary both as a second and fourth grade teacher. Next, I worked with 42 schools all over Polk County for five years as a Writing Consultant for Write Reflections. Given the opportunity, I then took a position at South McKeel where I taught six more years as a Language Arts teacher. That's when I gained my ESE certification and came out of the classroom to take a position as an Academic Coach in the BYPASS here at McKeel Academy for the past seven years. Now I teach two Learning Strategies classes and work with small groups and individuals needing tutoring and testing accommodations. It is amazing to be a part of the MAT team and I look forward to another great year of learning! Yes, after 27 years in Education...I still love my profession!!! Go Wildcats!
