Hola McKeel family!
My name is Ninoshka Maldonado, and I am thrilled to be teaching Beginning Spanish and Spanish 1 this year. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, I earned dual degrees in Spanish Education and Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. Before moving to Florida, I taught 7th and 8th grade at a private middle school on the island.
As someone who navigated learning a second language firsthand when I moved to Florida, I deeply understand the challenges and hesitation that can come with speaking a new language. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel confident stepping out of their comfort zones. Certified in World Language - Spanish by the Florida Department of Education, I love traveling and exploring new cultures, and I can’t wait to bring that same curiosity and passion into our classroom every day!
