Milcaliz Vazquez
Spanish Team
¡Hola! students, parents and guardians,
My students know me as Señora Vázquez. As a native Spanish speaker from Puerto Rico, I am passionate about sharing the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures while helping students build confidence in communication.
I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Labor Relations from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources from Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. Before entering education, I spent over eight years working in the private sector, where I developed leadership and organizational skills that continue to benefit my classroom today.
I hold Florida certifications in Spanish K–12 with ESOL and Reading Endorsements. I am committed to lifelong learning and continuously seek professional development opportunities, including recent studies at the University of Salamanca (Spain), to bring authentic language and cultural experiences to my students.
2026–2027 Courses: Spanish 2, Spanish 4 Honors, and AP Spanish Language & Culture
Current Club Sponsor: National Spanish Honor Society (NSHS)
Years of Service: 13 years in education
I believe learning a second language opens doors to endless opportunities, and I strive to create a positive, engaging, and culturally rich classroom where every student can succeed.
