Hello Wildcats! My name is Lisa Spivey and I am beginning my 9th year of teaching, and my fourth year at McKeel Academy. I hold bachelors degrees in both Biology and Science Teaching from FSU (Go Noles!) I am certified in Biology 6-12, Elementary K-6, Technology Education 6-12, as well as endorsed in gifted education. I previously taught science at Plant City High School and gifted science/math resource at Springhead Elementary in Plant City, which is where I reside.

I am an avid animal lover and nature enthusiast. I live on an 8 acre mini farm and animal sanctuary that, along with my husband and three kids, I currently share with Petunia the pig, CoCo, Rocky, and Copper the dogs; Newt, Aayla, Ezra, and Cason the cats; eleven (and counting) rescue goats, 2 ducks, and a flock of 14 chickens (and growing). We also have many rescue cats and kittens looking for a home, 3 Sanctuary horses and even a Donkey named Parfait!! They all bring a great deal of joy (and work) to my life!

I have been involved in Robotics many years before I came here to McKeel through my older children and their participation in FLL Robotics. I am excited this year to teach Middle School Robotics/Technology, as well as sponsor and coach the McKeel robotics team W.I.L.D.
