Welcome and Credentials: Hello McKeel Wildcats and Parents!  My name is Emily Hunt and I am starting my first year at McKeel Academy of Technology, but my 5th year teaching.  I have a BS in Business Marketing and Management from Spring Arbor University.  I am a certified by the Florida Department of Education to teach 6th-12th grade Business and Elementary Education.  I also enjoy working for a foundation called Shepherd's Hand.  

Business Background:  Before becoming a Teacher, I was the Director of Classical Conversations in Lakeland for 9 years where I also taught ELA (Essentials) for 4th - 6th graders.  I also worked for marketing departments at Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan and for Bariatric Treatment Centers in Michigan. 

About Me:  I am mom to three amazing children.  Bella is a freshman at UF this year, Porter is a junior at MAT, and London is an 8th grader at MAT.  I consider my hobbies driving them around to all their activities, and I feel extremely blessed having the ability to be apart of every aspect of their lives.  I love food, I call it one of my love languages.  I really love ice cream!   I also enjoy shopping and traveling when I have the opportunity.   I am also looking forward to helping  assist the Varsity girls basketball coach this year. 

My Courses:  This year I am teaching the Marketing Essentials (HS), MTV (MS/HS), and Intro to Business (MS).  

Classroom EnvironmentMy classroom is a safe and fun place for all students to experience a high level of education, but also create in them an excitement to learn and grow in their education and goals.  I expect every student to treat each other with respect and kindness.  I also except our students to treat our classroom, classmates/teacher, and class equipment with respect.  

Join FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America Club!  I encourage all students to join this International Business Club where Leaders and born and raised in a fun, business-savvy environment dedicated to community service and representing McKeel Academy at District, State, and National Competitions!  Joining and participating in FBLA enhances your job employability skills and college acceptance and scholarship opportunities!

My Classroom Needs: PLEASE send in boxes of Tissues and large containers of Disinfecting Wipes to minimize germs in my classroom. Required Apps: We frequently use the following Apps on your iPad and you are expected to have space on your iPad to download and use these Apps: Canva, Quizlet & Notability.
