I began teaching at McKeel Academy in 2008, however, I have many additional years of teaching experience within Brevard and Indian River Counties. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in Biology in 2000. In May 2011, I graduated with a master's degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. July 2014, I was appointed to the role of Dean of Students and in July 2018 I was promoted to Assistant Principal.
I believe that the learning environment should be safe and productive for EVERYONE! I believe that it is my responsibility to ensure that both of these previously mentioned conditions are met. I believe in consistency with regard to discipline. Not one student should be unaware of the rules and expectations at MAT. Likewise, no one should be surprised with their discipline, when they do not follow the rules and expectations.
