💚 Hey Wildcats!  I'm Mrs. Baine. 💙

Location: You will find me in Building 15, room 103.

Courses I'm teaching this year:

  • College Success - SLS1101 Fall Semester 2026
  • General Leadership - SLS1261 Spring Semester 2027
  • English 4 Honors - Seniors
  • English 3 - Juniors

Supplies:  Students will need a charged iPad, charger, earbuds or headphones, large spiral notebook with lined paper for writing, optional Apple pencil or stylus, and some pen or pencils.  Our classroom always needs tissues and Clorox wipes - if you or your parents want to help out with this.

Credentials: My career as an educator started with teaching 11th grade English at Lake Gibson High School.   I have served as a middle school English teacher, high school English teacher, testing coordinator, academic dean, assistant principal, and college professor at Wake Forest University and Polk State College. I have served as a college administrator at Wake Forest University and Florida Southern College in the areas of Student Life and Residence Life. I earned my Bachelors degree in Public Relations, English and Secondary Education from Florida Southern College, and my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership & Administration from North Carolina State University.

About Me: When I'm not on campus, I spend my free time with my husband and teens on our farm in North Lakeland. We have cattle, dairy goats, chickens and our dog, Benelli. I enjoy 80s music, sunsets over the Gulf, supporting Wildcat athletics, the occasional Chick-Fil-A cherry coke and being a proud native Floridian.

Let me know how I can help you!

💙 Go Wildcats! 💚
