Reading
I have been part of the McKeel family since the very beginning—joining McKeel Academy of Applied Technology when we first opened our doors in 1995, and continuing through our transition in 1998 when we became the first conversion charter school in the state of Florida and adopted the name McKeel Academy of Technology. I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Exceptional Student Education, specializing in specific learning disabilities for grades K–12, and I hold endorsements in ESOL and Reading. Over the past 25 years, I’ve taught intensive reading and literacy strategies across grades six through twelve. I currently teach seventh and eighth graders and work closely with our English Language Arts teachers to support ESE inclusion students. My goal is to help every learner feel capable, supported, and confident as they grow in their reading and communication skills.
