Megan Watson-Morrow
Hello Wildcats! I am so excited to join the McKeel team and be a part of the culture here. This is my first year here and I'll be teaching World History, World History Honors, and AP World History. This is my 12th year teaching. I spent 7 years in a public high school teaching various subjects from AP Psychology to Leadership Skills. Before public school, I taught in Department of Juvenile Justice facilities. Prior to teaching I worked in community mental health and prison settings. I have a passion for helping others. I enjoy building strong foundations with young people to help ensure success in their ever increasingly bright futures.
I have 2 little boys who attend South McKeel and are thriving there.
My boys and I enjoy completing home improvement projects together, going to the beach, traveling, and riding our horse.
I am not native to Florida but have been here 16 years. I am originally from southern Indiana in a town that time forgot. Seriously, one of those towns where the crossing guard is the gas station attendant and the local judge. I grew up in Pittsburgh (Go Steelers!!). I had the fortunate experience to move to New Zealand my senior year of high school. I completed my undergraduate work in Atlanta. On the way to graduation, I took a wrong turn and ended up in Florida where I have been ever since.
I enjoy laughing, reading, learning new things, and spending time with my family and friends.
This is going to be an awesome year and I am so grateful to be here.
