Medical Academy Team
Greetings Wildcats Family!
I am excited for another amazing school year! This is my third year teaching at MAT in the Medical Academy, and I am honored to be part of shaping the future of our next generation of healthcare professionals.
With 29 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and nine years as a teacher, I bring a passion for both education and healthcare into our learning environment. My professional background includes working as a hospital, home health, public health, and school health nurse. Before joining the McKeel family, I taught with Polk County Public Schools at Lake Gibson High School.
At McKeel, I have the privilege of teaching our incredible middle school students. My courses include Orientation to Health Science Professions/Introduction to Health Science Career Pathways and Medical Skills and Services.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Florida State University and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of South Florida, and I'm always excited to share what I’ve learned through my education and experience with students.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends and traveling. I am blessed with a loving and supportive husband, a son, twin daughters, and two amazing bonus children.
I look forward to working alongside our wonderful students, supportive families, and dedicated staff.
