I attended Saint Leo University where I earned my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.  I earned my Masters degree in Reading K-12 from USF.   I am certified to teach Elementary Education K-6, Reading K-12 as well as Social Sciences 5-9.   I currently have an ESOL endorsment and am state endorsed as a Civics Teacher of Excellence.  This year I will be teaching 8th Grade American History/Career Planning and World Geography/Career Planning.  I also serve as an adjunct professor in the education department of Florida Souther College where I enjoy sharing ideas for integrating reading in the middle school content area.  This will be my twenty second year in the classroom and fourteenth year working with McKeel schools, I have worked in both Hillsborough and Polk Public Schools.  My husband Michael and I have two daughters, Mallory(20) and Madison(16).  My interests include traveling, reading, hiking, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying any time I can get at the beach, snorkeling in the Caribbean, or relaxing in the mountains.
