Welcome to Seventh Grade!! This will be my thirteenth year teaching for TSMA, and I previously taught 5th and 6th grade science at South McKeel Academy, and before that, I taught 4th grade in Polk County for 8 years. In total, I have been teaching for 21 years and am looking forward to this year!
Along with teaching 7th-grade science, I am the head coach for the girls' golf team. My family is also part of the McKeel family, as my wife, Chantel, is the Art teacher at McKeel Academy Central, and my daughter, Samantha, graduated this past year from MAT. I am originally from Illinois, and I received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, going to the beach, and watching sports. I am so very excited to get to know each one of my students and guide them to success during their first year at MAT.
