Mr. Wasemann

I am proud to be returning for my twelfth year at McKeel Academy. I graduated in 1999 from the University of Florida earning a degree in Zoology with a minor in Secondary Education. This year I am teaching Biology I, Biology I Honors, and Earth & Space Honors. I am also honored to serve as McKeel Academy's Science Department chairperson.

This will be the eleventh year that I will be co-sponsoring the McKeel Drama Club. Over the years, with a great cast of student actors, we have produced almost twenty memorable performances; ranging from slap-stick comedies to classic dramas; mystery dinner theaters to Shakespearian tragedies. I am looking forward to another great season.

Also, I am excited to be sponsoring the McKeel Fencing Club for a fourth year. In 2008, we introduced the sport of fencing to McKeel and began building a great recreational program. This year I hope to expand the club by building our membership and participating in several regional competitions, including the Florida Sunshine State Games in June of 2011.

Outside of school I enjoy watching movies, playing video games, and spending time with my great friends and my crazy pets. This year my wife and I are excitedly awaiting the arrival of our twin girls.
