Welcome to the Digital Imagery Career Academy. This is my second year at McKeel Academy. This year, I will be teaching Intro to Information Technology, Video and Sound Fundamentals, Yearbook and Fundamentals of Web Design. Students in Fundamentals of WebDesign and some students in Yearbook will take an industry certification exam for that software or subject area at the end of the year. We had 125 students pass the Adobe Photoshop certification last year and are looking forward to more certifications this year.
I graduated from Southeastern University with a Communication degree in 1999. Since then, I have worked for a news station, non-profit agency as the Communication Specialist, owned my own advertising magazine, designed various publications and written website copy and articles for clients all over the world. I'm looking forward to sharing my passion of graphic design, media and advertising.
When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband (Mr. Jones, the A&P teacher) and my two children. I also do some freelance work at home to stay current in the media world. I like to travel, scrapbook, read and play the piano.
