Collection of Necessities for Haiti
From January the 22nd until April the 1stSmall items such as shampoo, soap, antibiotic cream, etc will be accepted within homerooms from January 22nd until April 1st. The collection will be donated to Haiti.
NJHS Shoes for People of Haiti
From January the 22nd until April the 1stThe NJHS is collecting shoes for the people of Haiti. Any used shoes will be gladly accepted (from toddler to adult sizes). Flip flops, tennis shoes, dress shoes, etc will be accepted. Shoes will be collected in homerooms from January 22nd until April 1st.
Drama Club Rehearsals
From February the 8th until April the 30thThe McKeel Academy Drama club will be holding rehearsals every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until April 30th for the Spring play. Rehearsals run from 2:30 until 4:00.
FCAT Academy
March the 2ndStudents will have the opportunity to review key FCAT skills and strategies in tutoring sessions offered after school twice a month on Tuesdays.
If your child scored below a 3 on the reading or math portion (or both) of the FCAT, you should have received a letter about our tutoring academy. If your child scored below a 3 on one portion, he/she will attend the 1st session from 2:20-3:20 only and will need to be picked up by 3:30. If your child scored below a 3 on both the math and reading portions of the FCAT, he/she will need to attend both sessions from 2:20-3:20 and 3:30-4:30 and your child will need to be picked up before 5:00.
Our sessions begin October 20th and will run until March for a total of 10 sessions. The dates are: October 6, October 20, November 3, November 17, December 1, December 15, January 12, January 26, February 9 and February 23.

From March the 2nd until March the 19thThe NJHS will be selling homemade pies from March 2nd until March 19th to help raise funds. Each pie costs $13.50 and you can choose from the below:
