Mrs. Spivey, Administrator

Hello Wildcats! My name is Lisa Spivey and I am beginning my 7th year of teaching, and my second year at McKeel Academy. I hold bachelors degrees in both Biology and Science Teaching from FSU (Go Noles!) I am certified in Biology 6-12, Elementary K-6, as well as endorsed in gifted education. I previously taught science at Plant City High School and gifted science/math resource at Springhead Elementary in Plant City, which is where I reside.

I am an avid animal lover and nature enthusiast. Along with my husband and three kids, I currently share my home with Petunia the pig, CoCo, Rocky, and Copper the dogs, Lea, Aayla, Ezra, and Cason the cats, and a flock of 18 chickens (and growing). Most were rescues and they bring a great deal of joy (and work) to my life!

I have been involved in Robotics many years through my older children and their participation in FLL Robotics. I am excited to teach Middle School Robotics/Technology and Robotics 1 classes this year.
